I never knew how much fun being a band parent was until my son started his freshman year at Lyman Hall!  We weren't so sure he was going to survive band camp.  I wasn't so sure I would survive band camp!  

But we all fell in love with the Lyman Hall Band.  Our weekends were dedicated to the football games and competitions from September through November. 

The Music Parents Association is a wonderful group.  It is a lot of work, but a lot of fun.  And the more, the merrier!  

The Lyman Hall Music Department provides students with a quality music education experience focused on hard work, consistent improvement, communication, creative problem solving, and excellent performance.  It is our goal to provide a welcoming environment to all students, regardless of ability.

After students leave the department, it is our hope that they will be lifelong learners and lovers of music, and will use the skills they learned through music classes and ensembles, both musical and non-musical, for the rest of their lives.
